======= METHODOLOGY =======

Most of the customs declarations contained information on total weight, weight per item and number of items for imported or exported products. In some part of declarations the information on the number of items was missing. In such cases, the following methodology for the extrapolation of items calculation was used:

  1.  The complete declarations average weight for each particular product was calculated.
  2. The number of items in each incomplete, deficient declaration was calculated as a result of division of total weight declared by average weight for each particular product mentioned in this concrete declaration.
